Effective from January 2027

On February 23, 2024, the United States Department of Commerce issued a limited, general applicability, nonavailability waiver of the BABA preference requirements for the BEAD Program for certain construction materials and certain manufactured products. To ensure conformity with the waiver, NTIA has created a self-certification and compliance framework for manufacturers. As a result, the Department of Commerce is publishing and maintaining a list of manufacturers where an officer of the company has certified certain individual products it produces. In accordance with this process, subject to fine or imprisonment - under the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act (31 U.S.C. § 3801 et seq.) and the False Claims Amendments Act of 1986 and the False Statements Accountability Act of 1996 (18 U.S.C. §§ 287 and 1001, respectively), Radisys certifies that it will be compliant with the BABA waiver for the BEAD Program. Radisys certifies that the equipment listed below will meet the domestic manufacturing requirements outlined in the BABA waiver from January 2027.

Supporting BEAD Broadband Deployments

The Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program is supporting broadband infrastructure investment across the United States, with Build America, Buy America requirements applying to equipment used in funded deployments.

Radisys Connect Open Broadband solutions provide service providers with open, programmable and scalable fiber access platforms designed to support the evolution of broadband networks.

Our OLT architecture gives operators the flexibility to support GPON and XGS-PON deployments while providing a path toward higher-capacity networks and future PON technologies.

As Radisys expands its U.S. manufacturing capabilities, we intend to broaden the portfolio of products available to support BABA-compliant broadband deployments.
