Radisys Strengthens CEGM45 COM Express Offerings With P8400 And T3100 Intel Core 2 Duo Processors

Radisys’ COM Express modules hit price/performance sweet spot for customers.

HILLSBORO, OR – February 23, 2010 – Radisys® Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS), a leading global provider of application–ready software and hardware platforms, today announced the extension of its processor offering on the Procelerant™ CEGM45 Com Express module, with the addition of the P8400 and T3100 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors. Radisys now provides the widest range of performance available for the Intel® GM45 generation of chipset. The extended Procelerant CEGM45 product range is ideal for compute–intensive and graphics–rich applications such as medical imaging, industrial automation and control, gaming and infotainment, as well as rugged mil/aero applications. It is also ideal for compute–demanding applications in communications.

Radisys Procelerant™ CEGM45

The Procelerant CEGM45 combines next generation performance Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors and the GM45 chipsets with Radisys designed dual channel memory to provide breakthrough processing performance on a basic size COM Express module. The P8400 and T3100 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors join the Procelerant performance standout 2.53GHz T9400 processor already offered in the basic Radisys 95mm x 125mm Type 2 COM Express pin–out, and provide a medium and value price–performance option for high–end embedded computing applications. Featuring DDR3 memory, enhanced 3D graphics and an integrated TPM option, the CEGM45 is available in Type 2 COM Express pin–out. It supports existing and new carrier designs while maximizing feature content.

Radisys’ COM Express P8400 and T3100 modules products provide Type 2 COM Express compliance to the industry–standard PIGMG specification with the following key features:

  • P8400 – 2.26 GHz Core™ 2 Duo processor / 3MB Cache / 1067MHz FSB/ 35W
  • T3100 – 1.9 GHz Celeron® M processor / 1MB Cache / 800MHz FSB/35W
  • Two 204–pin right–angle SO–DIMM sockets for DDR3–1067 and DDR3–800 memory
  • Up to 4GB per channel, for a maximum of 8GB memory
  • Intel® Gen 5.0 integrated graphics engine supporting Dual LVDS, VGA, Dual–channel SDVO
  • One PCI Express x16 Graphics expansion port
  • One PCI Express x1 interface
  • Four x1 PCI Express link expansion ports
