Radisys TOTALeNodeB Wins Best Enabling Technology at the Small Cell Forum Industry Awards

I recently spent a great week in London at Avren’s Small Cell World Summit. I am truly excited to announce that our TOTALeNodeB solution was awarded best enabling technology at the Small Cell Forum Industry Awards ceremony. We are honored to have been chosen for this prestigious award from such a select group of leading industry players. We are also pleased to be part of the SK Telesys solution, another award winner, as they begin early LTE small cell deployments in Korea.

Radisys Trillium TOTALeNodeB is at the center of both of these announcements. The first of its kind, we designed the Trillium TOTALeNodeB to simplify the development and integration of LTE small cells. I am pleased to say that it can cut product development time by as much as 50 percent and truly changes the economics of LTE small cell deployment, which traditional software has lacked until now. With over 175 wireless customer design wins, we are already achieving great success with this innovative technology and look forward to continuing to help telecom equipment manufacturers and operators overcome technological and financial hurdles to expedite the roll out of LTE networks in the future.

David Chambers of ThinkSmallCell, who chaired the Judges panel this year, reminded the audience that award winners are determined by a group of ten industry experts, and their choice is very much based on merit. “Those receiving awards should be rightly proud of their achievement. This award recognizes not only Radisys’ visible progress in LTE during the last year, but also their wider contribution to the femtocell and small cell industry in recent years.”

Congratulations to all of the other award winners and many thanks to the Small Cell Forum for this affirmation.
