Radisys Announces First Intel Quad-Core, Extended Temperature COM Express Module

Radisys’ CEQM67HD, with Intel Core i7 processing, provides unmatched performance for the extreme application environments associated with the aerospace and defense industry

HILLSBORO, OR, U.S. – February 1, 2012 - Radisys Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS), a leading provider of embedded wireless infrastructure solutions, today announced the CEQM67HD, the first ruggedized COM Express module with quad-core Intel® CoreTM i7 processing and a -40 C to +85 C temperature range. The CEQM67HD combines quad-core performance with Radisys’ Highly Accelerated Lifetime Test (HALT) and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS) expertise during the design and development process to provide aerospace and defense (A&D) customers with the high processing power and extreme temperature range capability required for embedded technology applications in network-centric warfare.

Entire A&D networks, from base station through the core are being consolidated into small, ruggedized communications platforms based on Radisys’ COM Express modules. The combination of ruggedness, reliability and performance of Radisys’ COM Express modules provides the ability for an entire network to be picked up and moved, or even carried in a soldier’s pack. These ultra-portable cellular networks require a combination of hardware and optimized software that meets specialized size, weight and power requirements for next generation net-centric warfare. Radisys’ Trillium 3G and LTE and media server software combined with the Radisys small form factor and defense specialized COM Express computer modules provide the necessary technology for today’s military portable communications networks and services.
