Income and Asset Protection

RadiSys has a variety of programs and plans available to help you protect your income and assets in the event of sickness, injury, disability or even death. These programs include:

Sick Leave

Exempt Employees

When you are absent one full (regularly scheduled) workday or more due to personal illness or injury, RadiSys will continue 100% of your salary, up to ten sick days per calendar year.




Non-Exempt Employees

When you are absent due to personal illness or injury, you are paid if you have Flextime hours available. (See Time Off)

Short Term Disability Plan

RadiSys’ Short Term Disability Plan provides income replacement benefits, for a period of up to twenty-six weeks, if you’re unable to work for an extended period of time. The short term disability benefit equals 90% of your regular base pay for the first thirteen weeks and 75% of your regular base pay for the next thirteen weeks.

Long Term Disability Plan

RadiSys’ Long Term Disability Plan provides coverage equal to 60% of your pre-disability pay (up to a monthly maximum benefit of $12,500), after you’re unable to work for more than 180 calendar days. This coverage is provided at no cost to you. To help you with your long-term personal financial planning, you decide how RadiSys pays monthly LTD premiums on your behalf – on a pre-tax or after-tax basis.

Life & Accidental Death/Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

RadiSys provides basic life/AD&D insurance equal to twice your salary (minimum coverage is $50,000, maximum coverage is $750,000). Whenever you travel on authorized RadiSys business, we cover an added amount of life insurance equal to three times your annual salary to a maximum of $750,000. You can elect to purchase voluntary term-life insurance coverage on your life and/or the life of your spouse/domestic partner at group rates.

Long Term Care Insurance

RadiSys offers Long Term Care insurance to help preserve your personal assets and help you meet the financial and personal needs a long term care situation can present.

Business Travel Accident Insurance

Whenever you travel on authorized RadiSys business, we cover you for accidental injuries that result in death, dismemberment, loss of sight, hearing or speech. You’re covered for three times your annual compensation – including incentive bonus and sales commissions (as defined in the Policy) – up to a maximum coverage amount of $750,000.

Coverage also includes a world-wide travelers assistance program that provides access to medical services, translation services, financial assistance, and more for business travel outside the U.S.
