401(k) Plan

The RadiSys 401(k) Plan is designed to provide you with a balance between the freedom you want to design your own investment portfolio and the support you need to create a personalized savings and investment strategy:


  • Employees may contribute up to 30% of compensation on a pre-tax basis, up to the IRS annual maximum of $15,500. In addition, employees may also contribute up to 5% of compensation on an after-tax basis, to an annual maximum of $10,000.
  • There is no waiting period before new hires can join the Plan - employees can begin participating as early as the third paycheck following date of hire.
  • RadiSys matches $.50 on every dollar employees contribute, on up to the first 6% of compensation. The company matching contribution is calculated and allocated to the employee's account each pay period.
  • Certain employees are eligible to make additional pre-tax contributions (beyond the annual limit that otherwise applies - $15,500 in 2008). The maximum amount of additional pre-tax deferrals that may be made in 2008 is $5,000.
  • Employees may choose from among 17 diversified investment funds (including Putnam, Janus, Franklin-Templeton, Neuberger Berman, and PIMCO funds). Plan participants may also invest in RadiSys Stock.
  • With Putnam Investment's ibenefitcenter Web portal, you can do much more than access your account and conduct transactions. Your account information is updated on a daily basis and you can conduct all Plan-related transactions
  • You can transfer funds from a previous employer's retirement plan to the RadiSys 401(k) Plan. Our Plan accepts both pre-tax and after-tax rollover amounts.

Financial Planning Assistance

To help you make informed decisions about your future, RadiSys provides on-going retirement planning/investor education programs to employees at no cost and encourages attendance by employee spouses, significant others.
