The AMC-7202, extends the functionality of the AMC-7201 with the support of channelized AAL5 & AAL2, IMA, PPP, MLPPP, HLDC and TDM including DS0 grooming. The fabric interface is capable of supporting UDP, TCP-IP, RTP and ITDM depending on the nature of the line data and the application.
Software Support: the AMC-7201 and the AMC-7202 come complete with software development kits in the form of Linux compatible API’s. API’s are design to provide the necessary function to set up connection of AAL2, AAL5, TDM, Frame Relay and others.
Line Synchronization Support: the AMC-7201 and AMC-7202 supports three line synchronizing schemes; loop back where a recovered clock is used to clock the line, free running or network reference from AMC CLK1. The module can also output the recovered clock on CLK2 for distribution across other line cards.
APS: 1+1 linear Automatic Protection Switching is supported across AMC modules via update channels on the ATCA-1200, RadiSys’ ATCA AMC carrier blade.
The AMC-7201 and AMC-7202 meet Single Mid-Size AMC.0 (ECN002 pending), AMC.1 and AMC.2. Specifications, with a x1 PCI-Express (PCI-E) lanes to ports 4 and two GE Ethernet links to ports 0 and 1. Both cards are designed to support separate data and control paths to the AMC fabric if preferred.
The AMC-7201 and AMC-7202 are designed to run in a MicroTCA shelf, on ATCA blades with on-board AMC carriers and on ATCA AMC-carrier blades like the RadiSys the ATCA-1200.
The AMC-7201 and AMC-7202 are also available as complete line card integrated solutions in the form of the ATCA-7400, comprise of the ATCA-1200 AMC carrier card and one AMC-7201 or one AMC-7202 Quad-STM-1/OC3 Single Mid-Size AMC complete with data path and management control software to provide a complete line card solution. Additional AMC-7201 or AMC-7202 cards can be added to deliver a maximum of 16 x STM-1/OC3 ports c\apability on single ATCA blade.
