Description

The Promentum® SYS-6016 platform, is a fully integrated high-capacity 13U, 16-slot solution that provides the maximum number of billable application slots in an ATCA carrier-grade platform, and delivers industry-leading 10-Gigabit switching, packet processing, and media processing capabilities.

The SYS-6016 platform meets the unique carrier-grade requirements of the telecommunications industry. It comes standard with the Promentum ATCA-2210 10-Gigabit switch and control modules which provide highly integrated centralized functions such as switching, shelf management, network-timing and system management capabilities. In addition, the ATCA-2210, supports the RadiSys switching software that has been hardened and now running live in a deployed network. also a variety of payload blades are offered, including high-performance multi-core compute modules, SATA/SAS storage solutions, high-density media processing and packet processing modules. With a multitude of pre-integrated payload blades, the Promentum SYS-6016 is an ideal choice for 3G wireless and wireline infrastructure requirements for applications such as Radio Network Controllers (RNC/BSC), Media Gateways, IMS (CSCF, Application and Media servers), and IPTV.

The Promentum SYS-6016 is designed in accordance with AdvancedTCA Standard PICMG 3.0 Rev 2.0, and supports the following features:

• NEBS Level 3 ready, highly redundant architecture eliminate any single point of failure and enables 5 nines or 6 nines availability.

PLATFORM SOFTWARE

The SYS-6016 platform is optionally pre-integrated with Windriver PNE LE 1.x and MontaVista Linux CGE 3.1/4.x. It also includes SA Forum HPI 1.1 compliant shelf management software with system management interfaces – CLI, SNMP, HPI and RMCP (IPMI over LAN). Specific datapath software is also available with applicable specific line cards. For example, ATM-IP interworking software is included with ATCA-7401 line card for the STM-1/OC-3 interfaces.
