RadiSys To Present On ATCA And Next-Generation Networks At Light Reading XTCA & COTS Virtual Event
RadiSys ATCA experts to share insights on 40G solutions for next-generation networks
HILLSBORO, Ore. — May 3, 2010 — RadiSys® Corporation (NASDAQ: RSYS), a leading provider of innovative hardware and software platforms for next generation IP–based wireless, wireline and video networks, today announced its AdvancedTCA (ATCA) experts will participate in the Light Reading xTCA & COTS Virtual Event. On May 6, this one–day virtual conference will explore the issues involved in delivering market–leading solutions for the converged IP network using commercial off–the–shelf (COTS) components and platforms.
The event will cover the latest xTCA platforms and related solutions including ATCA, MicroTCA, AMC, off–the–shelf middleware, carrier–grade operating systems and fully integrated systems. RadiSys representatives will share their perspectives on the next–generation of ATCA and will discuss the company’s latest initiative, ATCA 4.0.
RadiSys will present on the following topics:
Keynote: 4G Meets ATCA 4.0
Anthony Ambrose, RadiSys general manager and vice president, will deliver the keynote speech on how ATCA 4.0 will enable service providers to meet growing network demands for mobile broadband and video. With customers’ increasing use of high–bandwidth applications and media–rich content, ATCA 4.0 is providing a cost effective way to meet usage requirements while enabling a smooth transition from 10G to 40G networks. Ambrose will detail the application capabilities of next–generation networks, as well as deployment strategies for ATCA 4.0.
Building 40G Platforms for Engineering Applications
Eric Gregory, RadiSys senior ATCA product manager, will lead a panel on emerging solutions for DPI, LTE, mobile video and data centers with high–performance blades, 40–Gbit/s switching and high–density platforms. The panel will also discuss the widening application space for ATCA and recent developments for MicroTCA.
Delivering System Solutions for Next–gen Networks
Chandresh Ruparel, RadiSys senior product line manager, will lead a panel exploring the options available to network equipment providers for next–generation networks, including off–the–shelf components, pre–integrated platforms and complete system solutions. The session will conclude with a review of application case studies, including LTE.
